Our client is an international Electronic part manufacturing company seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to design, build, and maintain progressive dies to support the operation of their Raleigh and Mexico plants. Based in Raleigh, the ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and an affinity for active involvement in troubleshooting and the management of engineering operations.
Job Responsibilities -
- Design, build, and maintain progressive dies for metal stamping.
- Actively troubleshoot manufacturing issues to ensure quality and precision.
- Read blueprints, use CAD software, and operate measuring devices.
- Work with internal teams on tooling methods and design concepts.
- Develop engineering specifications, including mechanics, materials, and cost estimates.
- Perform Quality Assurance checks on finished tooling dies, and supervise their use in production.
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of tooling experience.
- Broad knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, is required.
- Experience communicating with vendors.
- Strong root-cause problem-solving skills.S
