Toolmaker/CNC Programmer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join a dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in machining and fabrication, with expertise in various tooling processes and extensive CNC programming experience. This role is essential for producing high-quality fixtures, dies and components that meet precise specifications. The Tool Maker will work closely with engineers and production staff to ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Duties

• Create 3 & 4 axis machine programs, using Mastercam, for production parts.
• Create work instructions for new operations
• Design fabricate and repair precision tools, dies, and fixtures for both CNC and assembly areas.
• Operate CNC lathes and CNC milling machines to create intricate components.
• Setup HAAS and Fryer VMC's and oversee the running of their daily operation.
• Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure accuracy in designs.
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings for assembly and fabrication tasks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot design issues and improve tooling processes.
• Oversee routine machine maintenance and keep an organized and clean workspace.
• Adhere to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tooling, machining, or a related manufacturing field.
• Proficiency in Mastercam and SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with stamping press operations.
• Experience machining stainless steel required.
• Excellent math skills for precise calculations and measurements.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and adaptively and as part of a team with a "get the job done" mentality .
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent and completion of vocational training required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment visa or other sponsorship.
