ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with standard tool room equipment such as but not limited to: mills, lathes, and grinders
- Reads and interprets standard industry mechanical drawings of tooling and products
- Completes engineering changes and modifies molds
- Troubleshoots and repairs molds
- Prepares molds for production
- Repairs/changes configurations of molds based on production needs
- Prepares molds for storage following production runs
- Design and build secondary fixtures
- Works with standard tool room measuring equipment such as, but not limited to: micrometers, vernier, calipers, indicators, and scales
- Support continuous improvement through LEAN and HPT
- Keeps a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS AND DESIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:
Education and Experience:
Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Prior experience with tool and die making in injection molding is required
6 years of tool & die making experience in plastic injection molds is required
At least 2 years machining experience
CAD/CAM knowledge is preferred
An ability to read prints and work with mathematical concepts
An ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables is preferred
Mechanical aptitude required
Basic computer skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
Must be able to effectively interact with others
This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements.
Competitive Compensation
- Pay Range: $25.75/hr to $38.75/hr
- Participation in Annual Incentive Program
