Join Our Growing Manufacturing Team as a Toolmaker in Beaumont, CA!
Are you a seasoned Toolmaker with a passion for precision and problem-solving? We're seeking an experienced professional to become an integral part of our dynamic production environment. This is a direct-hire position offering stable employment, competitive compensation, and room for career growth.
What You'll Do:
- Perform comprehensive preventive maintenance on injection molds to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mold-related issues, including wear, damage, and operational defects.
- Modify, repair, and fabricate mold components such as cores, cavities, and inserts to meet exact specifications.
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble injection molds with meticulous attention to detail.
- Verify mold dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments to uphold quality standards.
- Operate manual machine shop equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses, with proficiency.
- Assist in mold installation, ensuring proper function and alignment.
- Maintain accurate tooling inventory and coordinate outside repair services when necessary.
- Build and assemble custom tools, fixtures, and internal tooling to support production needs.
- Support machine setup and assist production staff to maximize process efficiency.
- Complete maintenance reports and manage tooling supplies to ensure smooth operations.
- Operate overhead cranes safely and adhere to all safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school certification preferred.
- Journeyman Tool & Die Certification is required.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Tool Maker or in Mold Maintenance within an injection molding setting.
- Strong expertise in injection molding processes and mold construction.
- Experience with PVC and CPVC materials is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and tooling specifications.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
- Skilled in operating manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
- Ability to stand and move throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Frequently lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Regular bending, reaching, and walking.
- Manual dexterity for handling precision tooling and measuring components.
- Strong math skills for measurements, calculations, and tooling tolerances.
