Job Title: Tool & Die Maker
Department: Toolroom / Manufacturing
Location: Shelton, CT
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full Time
Pay: $35 to $40 per hour

Summary
Responsible for building, maintaining, and troubleshooting progressive dies to support production efficiency, quality, and uptime in a manufacturing environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build, assemble, and troubleshoot progressive dies to meet production requirements
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on dies to reduce downtime
Inspect and adjust die components using precision measuring tools
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
Operate machine tools including lathes, grinders, and milling machines
Ensure quality and adherence to company standards
Maintain records related to die maintenance and repairs
Troubleshoot and resolve die issues to minimize production delays
Support continuous improvement and production efficiency efforts
Supervisory Responsibilities
May assist in guiding or supporting junior level employees
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
5 to 10 years of experience in tool and die making
Strong experience with progressive dies
Advanced knowledge of machining and toolmaking techniques
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Experience in a fast paced production environment
Work Environment
Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and production equipment
Must follow all safety protocols and quality standards
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, lift, and work with heavy equipment throughout the shift
Use of PPE including safety shoes, eye protection, and hearing protection
