Job Description
- PLEASE NOTE: This position will require 6 to 12 months of training on day shift (7a-3p) prior to transferring to 3rd shift (11a-7a).
Core Responsibilities:
- NC Machining operation for manufacturing of dies and fixtures
- Programming of CNC machines for above (Hyper Mill preferred)
- Determines sequencing of machining operations for dies and fixtures
- Works with engineering on tool designs
- Determines repair methods for dies and fixtures
- Performs a wide variety of machining operations requiring difficult setups and methods to maintain very close tolerances
- Constructs, repairs, fits and assembles tools, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges to ensure correct fits and proper operations
- Makes necessary tool tryouts and diagnoses and corrects problems
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform the physical and functional requirements of the job, including standing for the majority of the work shift.
- Must possess a high levels of organization, detail orientation, self-awareness and prioritization skills.
Education Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
