As the Top Mechanic, you will perform general mechanic maintenance activities in a chemical production plant atmosphere to keep the production units and supporting facilities in the utmost reliable working condition. The Mechanic is expected to use sound judgment and broad-based mechanical knowledge to make decisions and repairs that will contribute to the overall plant efficiency, objectives, and policies.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Candidates should meet one of the following criteria:
Certification Path:
Possess a valid and current certification in welding, electrical and/or instrumentation. Valid and current" certification means a Certified Journeyman Electrician, a Certified Welder or an ACS Certified Instrumentation Technician or trade school certification in Instrumentation, and/or any USW certifications for Electricians, Welders, and Instrumentation Technician
Experience Path:
At least 5 years of direct and relevant experience as a welder, electrician, and/or instrumentation technician within the 6-year period immediately preceding the bid or application
Combination Path:
Have achieved a valid Welding Certificate and have had at least one year of relevant work experience that has included welding as a primary job task; or have, within 5 years from the bid: or application
Read and comprehend blueprints, drawings, sketches and plans. Knowledgeable and proficient in interpreting specifications, drawings, and instructions to assist in the replacement, troubleshooting, repair, alignment, etc. of mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience with rotating and compression equipment is preferred.
Understanding of basic mechanical and/or chemical concepts and safety.
Strong environmental, health, and safety (EHS) cultural awareness.
Ability to regularly move and/or lift up to 100lbs (frequency for 100lb lifting requirement is occasional), wear appropriate PPE, and climb stairs and/or ladders.
Willing and able to pivot to complete different tasks throughout the day.
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communication skills both oral and written.
Able to work a shift schedule and occasional overtime, when needed.
Successful candidate must be able to work with controlled technology in accordance with US export control laws and regulations.

Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $26.41 per hour
