Penmac Staffing is seeking a skilled Torque Converter Machinist for a manufacturing client. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who enjoys process improvement, equipment troubleshooting, and working in a production environment focused on quality and efficiency.Requirements
- At least five years of professional machining experience
- Experience operating CNC machines
- Experience operating manual machines and manual lathes
- Knowledge of cutting and machining processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and identify process failures
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
- Ability to travel throughout the United States for training and hands-on experience
- Reliable transportation
- Strong attendance and dependability
- Ability to follow all safety and quality standards
Responsibilities
- Analyze and refine existing machining processes for torque converter manufacturing
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance machining and cutting techniques
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement operational improvements
- Conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions to prevent future failures
- Monitor and maintain machining equipment to minimize downtime and ensure performance
- Train and mentor employees on machining processes and techniques
- Enter data into software programs and generate reports
- Prepare documentation on process improvements and outcomes
- Follow all safety policies and quality standards
- Complete other duties as assigned
