The Assembler (Touch up and Rework Operator) is responsible for all aspects of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly to ensure that customer’s specifications/requirements are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Use magnification aids and stereo-microscope to solder components and ECO wires to PCBs, adhering to IPC-A-610 (current revision) standards.
  • Employ hand tools, such as tweezers, to manually assemble components to PCBs.
  • Follow customer Bill of Material and assembly notes to assemble PCBs to meet customer specifications.
  • Communicate discrepancies to the appropriate management representative to ensure that all products meet customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Read, understand and follow customer’s drawings, specifications and requirements as they apply to assembly projects.
  • Read, understand, and comply with ISO procedures/work instructions and IPC specifications as related to manufacturing and inspecting printed circuit board assembly.
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete all forms/documents for reporting inspection results.
  • Communicate procedures, inspections, requirements, and other elements of quality assurance to appropriate team members and management representatives.
  • Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Interact professionally and diplomatically with managers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in the printed circuit board assembly industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical, thru-hole, surface mount, electronic component identification and performing reworks on printed circuits boards a must.
  • Prior experience with ISO 9001/9002 or QS9000 preferred.
  • Ability to install hardware on assemblies, components and parts per documentation.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret all documentation related to PCB Assembly, quality control specifications, IPC 610 certification, blue print drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to use quality related measuring equipment and all hand tools required for PCB Assembly.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The ability to lift 20 lbs., open filing cabinets, and bend, stand, or climb on step ladders as necessary.

ENVIRONMENT:

  • Manufacturing facility with exposure to electronics assembly equipment and materials.
  • May require working in a controlled environment with specific temperature and humidity requirements.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform work.


CA Salary Range $20 -$28 with benefits and perks.

We continuously update our capabilities and equipment, like sophisticated direct imaging machines, enabling us to do reliable and repeatable 4 / 4 with an aspect ratio of 10. We make up to 22 layers on a .185-inch thick board. Our high technology boards have features like Blind/buried vias, filled vias (hole in pads), controlled impedance, high aspect ratios and micro-BGAs. We regularly make specialty products like Lead-free boards, Burn-in Boards, Polyimide multi-layers, Thermount multi-layers, Metal Core PCBs, carbon paste, and boards with blind/buried vias, filled vias and micro vias. Our latest offerings include Microelectronics PCBs, down to 1 mil trace & space.
