Unleash your talent and redefine what's possible. **Job Description:** Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Tower Technician** to join our team! In this role you will get to be a part of an amazing team of talented tower technicians, assessing and improving our nation's communications and navigational aid tower infrastructure. **What You'll Be Doing:** + Conducting structural condition assessments of tower systems, including foundation, structural steel members and connection plates/bolts, appurtenances such as microwave dishes and communications antennas., cables, junction boxes, etc., grounding and lightning protection systems + Adjusting tower guy cable tension and realigning towers as necessary + Completing checklists and documenting conditions using photographical evidence + Meeting with local tower ownership, clients, and landowners + Debriefing customers and management on findings + Consulting with management and engineers to assist in recommended corrective actions for tower condition improvement **What Required Skills You'll Bring:** + A safe work history and mindset + Comfort in climbing towers up to 400 feet in height (though generally less than 200 ft) + Computer skills + Communications skills (written and oral) + 3 plus years experience in tower field required + High school diploma or GED required **What Desired Skills You'll Bring:** + Current or recent tower climb and rescue credentials + Theodolites/total station operating experience + Guy tensioning experience **Security Clearance Requirement:** None This position is part of our Federal Solutions team.
