As a Chemical Plant Operator for our Wyandotte TPU Plant you will be responsible for all aspects of personal safety product quality and operating all aspects of the synthesis and extrusion lines and their auxiliary and utility equipment including truck unloading and packout. Work 14 out of 28 days in a 12-hour rotating shift. During your 12-hour shift daynight as a TPU Operator you will Operating PLC systems and environmental control systems Reading recording and interpreting data from various industrial equipment such as beltlines and extruders Making safe prompt and effective corrective adjustments to ensure efficient production including troubleshooting Controlling flows pressures reactions temperatures and material makeup for batch sheets and formula cards Handling transfer of solutionsbatches and loadingunloading chemicals from tanks trucks and rail cars Performing maintenance tasks such as visual inspections of operating equipment Following verbal and written instructions from the Shift Supervisor standard procedures batch sheets and loading sheets Cross-training in additional production areas andsupportingteam members in tasks and problem-solving Participating in miscellaneous duties such as painting cleanouts assistance during plant outages and maintaining operating condition of key equipment.
