Trade & Cash Operations Analyst | Hybrid | $100K–$120K + Bonus

Our client, a highly respected institutional investment organization, is seeking a detail-oriented Trade & Cash Operations Analyst to join its investment operations team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career investment operations professional to gain exposure to trade execution, cash management, settlements, reconciliations, investment reporting, and a diversified portfolio of public and private investments.
Compensation: $100K–$120K base + small bonus (typically 5–10%)
Location: Greater Palo Alto, CA — 3 days/week onsite
Experience: 2–3 years of investment operations experience

The Opportunity

• Facilitate securities transactions, settlements, and reconciliations
• Prepare daily cash forecasts and asset allocation reporting
• Coordinate cash transfers, wire setups, and investment funding
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of investment and accounting data
• Monitor investment activity and approvals across the portfolio
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and ad-hoc analyses
• Research transaction details, identify exceptions, and recommend solutions
• Serve as a key operational contact for brokers and custodian banks
• Support a variety of public and private investments, including complex securities
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders on operational issues and process improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

• 2–3 years of investment operations experience, ideally with an investment fund, asset manager, or financial services provider
• Experience with equity and fixed income trade settlement, reconciliations, and cash management
• Exposure to public and private investments
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial data
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Extremely detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bloomberg experience is a plus

This is an analytical role, and the interview process includes an aptitude assessment. We're looking for someone who is sharp, highly analytical, detail-oriented, and able to learn quickly.
