    Job Description

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer export compliance activities in accordance with:
    • U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
    • Internation Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
    • U.S. Customs regulations
    • Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
    • Classify products, components, and technical data under EAR/ITAR guidelines.
    • Prepare and review export documentation including:
    • Commercial invoices
    • Shipper's Export Declarations (SED/EEI)
    • Bills of lading
    • Certificates of origin
    • Coordinate export license applications and monitor license provisos.
    • Conduct restricted party screenings and maintain audit-ready documentation.
    • Work closely with engineering, supply chain contracts, and program management teams to ensure compliant shipments.
    • Support internal and external compliance audits.
    • Maintain export records in accordance with regulatory retention requirements.
    • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters.
    • Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Mandatory Certification:
    • Export Customs Specialist Certificate OR Export Specialist Certificate
    • 3-7 years of experience in export compliance, customs administration, or trade compliance within aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries.
    • Strong working knowledge of ITAR and EAR regulations.
    • Proficiency in ERP systems and export compliance software tools.
    • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpacked, regulated environment.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with defense contracts or controlled technical data.
    • Familiarity with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications.
    • Experience supporting government audits or voluntary disclosures.
    • Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
    • A Certified Export Specialists is preferred.
