Description:

The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring ICU Medical's exports and dangerous goods movements are in compliance with local government laws and regulations governed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FDA, DOT, and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) regulatory requirements. This short-term assignment is managing day-to-day export operations as well as assisting in the development and enhancement of the Dangerous Good program for ICU's post-acquisition state.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Support day-to-day export operations which will include email communication and the completion of Export Documentation
• Assisting in the record retention of documents as required by local regulations
• Assist in the training of staff on Dangerous Goods regulations and procedures
• Modify a written policy and procedure for the Dangerous Goods program that meets DOT/IMDG/IATA requirements to minimize compliance risks and fines
• Work on various DG-related projects to enhance the overall program for the new ICU Medical supply chain footprint
• Complete necessary ACE (EEI) filings when applicable
• Support any additional trade compliance related post-acquisition activities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications:
• Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) procedures, Federal Drug Administration (FDA), and Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) export requirements as well as associated documentary requirements.
• Knowledgeable of DOT/IMDG/IATA regulations as it relates to Dangerous Goods with an emphasis on Lithium-Ion Batteries
• Must have strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Communicates effectively and interacts professionally with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Good organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and use time effectively. Demonstrates attention to detail.

Education and Experience Required:
• Minimum of 2 years of trade compliance and dangerous good experience.
• Working Knowledge of export requirements
• Knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience
• DG Certified
• Oracle ERP / GTM system experience
