HIGH-LEVEL OVERVIEW
The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for daily operational execution and monitoring of the company's trade compliance programs and internal audits while ensuring compliance with U.S. import and export regulations
This is a hybrid position based near the NW suburbs of Minneapolis, MN.
EXPECTATIONS
· Provide daily operational execution for trade compliance including HTS and ECCN classification, country of origin, documentation, and ISF filings
· Conduct internal and external audits and implement corrective actions
· Research and recommend compliance solutions to reduce cost and mitigate regulatory risk
· Serve as the primary contact with Customs Brokers
· Monitor service provider performance and participate in quarterly supplier business reviews
· Manage the duty reconciliation program to ensure accurate and timely Customs payments
· Support FTA programs including vendor origin data collection and ERP automation
· Lead Duty Drawback program through import and export data collection and audit recordkeeping
· Manage the Export License process including customer and end user research
ESSENTIALS
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
· LCB, CES, CCS, CUSECO or similar trade certification required
· 3-5 years of trade compliance experience in a manufacturing environment
· Experience with HTS/ECCN classification, country of origin determination, valuation & FTA
· Strong working knowledge of export licenses
· Understanding of AD/CVD, duty drawback, and special government programs
· Experience managing third party logistics providers and customs brokers
· Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and analytic mindset
