The Opportunity
Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Compliance Manager to join our team. The Trade Compliance Manager will be responsible for coordinating the company's requirements pertaining to the company's export licensing and compliance requirements, including the ongoing development, implementation, execution (including training and auditing) and oversight of the company's export compliance program to the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Office of Foreign Assets Controls (OFAC) and the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR).
The Trade Compliance Manager will serve as the Williams International "empowered official" for ITAR licensing and exemptions to include making the required ITAR certifications to the U.S. State Department Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) by signing export licenses and technical assistance agreements.
This position is Hybrid. 3 weeks Remote, 1 week on-site per month at our Pontiac, MI HQ.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree with minimum 10 years' related work experience directly in positions responsible for ITAR, EAR export licensing and compliance and FTR compliance
Background in export/import regulations (ITAR, EAR, FTR. OFAC), Export Control Reform, Compliance programs, Export jurisdiction and classifications self-classification, export licensing and license exemptions/exceptions, Technical Assistance Agreements (TAAs), Commodity Jurisdiction requests. Commodity Classification Requests, Technology Control Plans and the shipping process
U.S. Department of State (DOS) and/or U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) experience desired
Demonstration of:
Strong writing, communication, training and research skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently with general guidance and as a team player
Strong organizational skills and ability to establish priorities among a wide array of projects
Sound judgement, professional demeanor, good work ethic and business acumen
Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills - with Project a plus
Working knowledge of EAR export licensing and compliance required
Familiarity With Other US Export Regulatory Requirements, required (OFAC, ANTIBOYCOTT, BATFE, FCPA)
Experience with managing government contracts subject to ITAR compliance

U.S. Citizenship is required
Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
