    Trade Finance Operations Analyst - Letters of Credit

    Job Summary

    The Trade Finance Operations Analyst supports and enhances Trade Finance Operations with a primary focus on Import and Export Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections. This role is responsible for analyzing operational processes, improving workflow efficiency, supporting technology initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining operational excellence across trade finance activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Trade Finance Operations

    • Analyze end-to-end Trade Finance operational processes.

    • Identify process gaps and recommend operational improvements.

    • Support Import and Export Letters of Credit processing.

    • Handle Documentary Collections activities.

    • Process issuance, advising, confirmations, settlements, and financing transactions.

    • Process Improvement

    • Review operational workflows for efficiency and accuracy.

    • Strengthen operational controls and reduce processing risks.

    • Support workflow optimization initiatives.

    • Systems & Technology

    • Partner with Technology, Product, and Operations teams.

    • Support trade finance system enhancements.

    • Assist with automation initiatives.

    • Participate in QA and UAT testing.

    • Create test cases, execute testing, and resolve issues.

    • Compliance & Governance

    • Ensure compliance with ICC Rules (UCP, URC, ISBP).

    • Follow internal policies and regulatory requirements.

    • Maintain strong operational controls and risk management.

    • Documentation & Reporting

    • Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    • Update process documentation and user guides.

    • Provide operational reporting and performance analysis.

    • Financial Operations

    • Support invoicing and commission processing.

    • Manage advance and arrears commissions.

    • Perform daily accrual activities.

    • Support syndicated Letters of Credit and complex trade transactions.

    • Change Management

    • Support implementation of new operational processes.

    • Provide communication and training for system updates.

    • Assist business users during process transitions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • Experience in Trade Finance Operations.
    • Strong knowledge of Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections.
    • Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) is a plus.
