TRADE MARKETING COORDINATOR

Location: Chicago, IL Department: Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY The Trade Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in executing Trade Marketing strategies that drive sales, strengthen brand visibility, and enhance retail execution across assigned territories. This position partners closely with Sales, Marketing, and external vendors to coordinate promotional initiatives, support product launches, manage point-of-sale materials, oversee budgets, and ensure brand standards are consistently executed in the marketplace. Success in this role requires strong organizational, analytical, and collaboration skills, along with experience in Trade Marketing, retail execution, and cross-functional project coordination within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) or retail industry.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Plan and coordinate promotional campaigns, sales contests, and Trade Marketing initiatives that support business objectives and increase brand visibility. Support new product launches by collaborating with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure successful market execution. Monitor market trends and recommend local promotional opportunities to improve brand presence and shopper engagement. Manage Trade Marketing budgets, track expenditures, and identify opportunities to optimize resources. Supervise and support assigned Trade Marketing staff, ensuring efficient execution of projects, adherence to company standards, and achievement of team objectives. Coordinate the ordering, distribution, installation, and inventory management of point-of-purchase (POP) materials. Ensure retail execution standards are met, including merchandising, planogram compliance, pricing, product rotation, and brand presentation. Lead and support Demo teams, DPVs, and third-party agencies to ensure consistent execution in the field. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, manage service agreements, review invoices, and process payments in accordance with company procedures. Support the development and execution of customer marketing programs, promotional agreements, and other commercial initiatives. Prepare monthly performance reports and analyze Trade Marketing KPIs to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. Coordinate participation in trade shows, promotional events, and marketing activities. Conduct regular field visits alongside the Sales team to assess retail execution and identify improvement opportunities. Coordinate and oversee product launches and promotional activities within assigned territories. Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and company objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Three to five years of experience in Trade Marketing, Marketing, or Sales, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG/FMCG) or retail industry. Strong understanding of Trade Marketing strategies, retail execution, merchandising, planograms, and promotional planning. Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and promotional projects. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare performance reports. Experience using field execution or CRM platforms such as Repsly, Salesforce, or similar systems. Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Proven negotiation skills and experience working with external vendors and agencies. Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, with professional proficiency in both languages. Ability to analyze KPIs, measure ROI, and make data-driven recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS

Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship

Valid driver's license, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of insurance required
