  • Educate retail partners on merchandising best practices and category growth opportunities.

Consultative Selling & Customer Development
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to understand customer needs and recommend solutions that create mutual business success.
  • Negotiate promotional activities, product placement, display opportunities, and sell-out initiatives.
  • Build long-term partnerships through exceptional customer service and consistent follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance with merchandising standards, promotional agreements, and contractual requirements.

Business Analytics & Market Intelligence
  • Analyze sales performance, promotional effectiveness, and territory trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, new product launches, and retail market conditions.
  • Provide retailers with data-driven recommendations that improve category performance and sales results.
  • Maintain accurate reporting and activity documentation using Trade Marketing Execution (TME) systems and CRM tools.

Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Achieve or exceed territory sales objectives, merchandising KPIs, and distribution goals.
  • Track performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal sales and marketing teams to execute national and regional initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records and timely reporting through company systems such as Synergy.

Qualifications

Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout an assigned territory.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, Territory Sales, Field Sales, Merchandising, Retail Sales, Account Management, or FMCG/CPG sales.
  • Experience working with consumer goods, beverage, food, tobacco, personal care, or household product brands.
  • Experience using Trade Marketing Execution (TME), CRM, or retail execution software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and transform insights into action plans.
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales quotas, merchandising goals, and territory growth objectives.

What Makes You Successful
  • Results-oriented with a passion for winning in a competitive retail environment.
  • Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while managing a busy territory.
  • Skilled at building lasting customer relationships through trust, integrity, and exceptional service.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and motivated by achieving measurable business results.
