Job Summary:


General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.


Under general supervision, this position is responsible for planning and implementing product exhibits at conventions, air shows, and trade shows at domestic and international venues. Manages the logistics of booth space, equipment rental, display rigging, electrical and plumbing supply, and install and dismantling (I&D) schedule of the exhibit. Plans and coordinates the routing of company owned exhibits and consumable products shipped for the event. Keeps organized records and summarizes data such as cost-per-contact, budget spend, shipping manifests and bills of lading, vendor orders and invoices, and post-show financial reports. Remains current on new trends in exhibit design and may be on various exhibit advisory councils. Interacts with internal management staff, including senior staff as well as external personnel; participate in department meetings and event reviews with management; provide input into schedule and display revisions; and, may participate in long-term event planning.


DUITES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


+ Assist in preparing the annual trade show schedule and budget and monitor management availability for scheduled events.

+ Plan and oversee the implementation of all events, including vendor bidding and selection, booth design, shipping and International Trade Compliance (ITC) logistics, marketing material, and site install and dismantle. Review and facilitate payment of event invoices.

+ Provide review of events including evaluations. Identify and recommend potential speaking engagements.

+ Maintain information database of event budget and costs and prepare management reports. Identify and bring to management attention, any cost/budget issues.

+ Maintain an inventory of marketing information, including giveaways, and ensure that the most recent marketing information is available. Make recommendations for updating material.

+ Responsible for observing all laws and local regulations and other show organizer imposed applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

+ Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

+ Additional Functions Other duties as assigned or required.

Job Qualifications:


+ Typically requires a Bachelors in Marketing or related field and three or more years progressive experience. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

+ Must demonstrate a general understanding of trade show principles, theories, concepts and techniques; and skills including organizing, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating work assignments to meet project milestones or established completion dates.

+ Experience leading and giving directions to vendors onsite during I&D activities. Including assembly of scale aircraft models.

+ Must possess the ability to contribute to the development of new processes.

+ Must be customer focused.

+ Must have a passport or proper identification to travel internationally.

+ The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and use independent judgment in developing solutions to a variety of non-routine problems.

+ Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, report, and present findings.

+ Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of employees, management and customers.

+ The ability to take the lead role in initiating, planning, and managing show projects. As the lead, they have the responsibility of giving direction to the project’s internal and external stakeholders.

+ Strong computer skills.

+ Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel as required.
