Trade Specific Instructor

Schedule:

Work will be performed according to scheduled trade-specific courses and laboratory requirements. Training may require in-person instruction at Norfolk Naval Shipyard facilities using designated classrooms, mockups, tools, and training equipment.

Summary:

The Trade Specific Instructor will provide practical technical instruction designed to connect academic learning with the skills and applications used within NNSY shipyard trades.

Requirements:

• Must possess appropriate education, training, or experience in the assigned technical trade.
• Must meet applicable Educational Institution instructor qualification standards.
• Must be capable of providing practical and hands-on technical instruction.
• Must satisfy applicable NNSY installation access and security requirements.

Duties:

• Deliver trade-specific technical instruction.
• Conduct hands-on laboratory and practical training when required.
• Evaluate student knowledge, technical skills, and academic performance.
• Maintain safe instructional practices during hands-on training.
