ABOUT THE ROLE

Affordable Legal Recruiting is partnering with a nationally recognized, highly respected law firm to identify a Trademark Litigation Associate Attorney for its Intellectual Property practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for an attorney with 2+ years of trademark litigation experience, including federal court matters and TTAB proceedings. You will work on sophisticated brand protection disputes, collaborate with top-tier IP practitioners, and contribute to high-impact litigation strategies.

Trademark litigators often face pain points such as limited courtroom exposure, repetitive enforcement work, unclear advancement paths, and environments where IP litigation is siloed. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage trademark litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Conduct and manage discovery, including depositions
• Represent clients in TTAB proceedings
• Develop and implement trademark enforcement and brand protection strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive IP counsel
• Support trial preparation and appellate matters as needed

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT

• Juris Doctor (JD); Top 50 law school preferred
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred
• 2+ years of trademark litigation experience in federal courts and before the TTAB
• Background with an Am Law 200 firm strongly preferred
• Open to candidates from highly regarded regional firms handling sophisticated matters
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Licensed in North Carolina or eligible for admission
• Strong client-service mindset and professional presence

Preferred

• Experience with complex brand enforcement strategies
• Prior trial preparation or appellate experience
• Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional IP disputes
• Strong interest in long-term IP litigation career development
