A globally recognized Am Law 50 law firm is seeking a Senior Trademark Paralegal to join its nationally respected Intellectual Property practice. This position supports a sophisticated, high-volume trademark practice representing one of the world's largest global brands while managing complex U.S. and international trademark portfolios.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced trademark paralegal who enjoys being deeply involved in prosecution work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for a long-term home with a premier law firm.
Locations (Hybrid)
Candidates may work from any of the firm's California offices:

Current expectation is three days per week onsite, with the possibility of increasing to four days per week in the future.
Local candidates able to meet the hybrid schedule are strongly preferred. Remote consideration may be available on a case-by-case basis for candidates residing in states where the firm is authorized to employ personnel.
Compensation
Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
The current hiring range is $150,000 - $170k, with flexibility available for exceptional candidates.
Non-exempt position with overtime eligibility.
About the Role
This is a senior-level trademark paralegal position supporting a demanding, high-performing partner with a substantial international trademark practice. The successful candidate will independently manage sophisticated U.S. and foreign trademark portfolios while supporting high-volume prosecution work for major global clients.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys managing complex trademark portfolios, excels in prosecution work, and can quickly become productive with minimal onboarding.
Required Qualifications
  • ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate
  • Minimum 4–7 years of trademark prosecution experience in a law firm
  • Extensive U.S. trademark prosecution experience
  • Extensive foreign trademark prosecution experience
  • Experience managing sophisticated, high-volume trademark portfolios
  • Experience with USPTO filings from application through maintenance
  • WIPO and Madrid Protocol experience
  • Trademark clearance searches
  • TTAB oppositions and cancellations
  • Meaningful trademark enforcement experience
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to independently manage multiple deadlines

Primary Responsibilities
Trademark Prosecution
  • Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications
  • Draft and file Statements of Use, renewals, maintenance filings, extensions, declarations, and Office Action responses
  • Prepare and file Madrid Protocol applications and related WIPO filings
  • Coordinate prosecution activities with foreign associates worldwide
  • Monitor and manage sophisticated domestic and international trademark portfolios
Portfolio Management
  • Conduct trademark clearance searches and summarize findings
  • Review trademark watch notices
  • Manage docket deadlines across large international portfolios
  • Prepare client status reports
  • Coordinate foreign filings, renewals, and prosecution strategy
Trademark Enforcement
  • Support TTAB proceedings
  • Assist with oppositions and cancellations
  • Support trademark enforcement matters
  • Assist with customs recordation
  • Coordinate ownership transfers and recordations
  • Support UDRP and related domain name matters
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepare copyright applications and related recordations
  • Assist with IP due diligence projects
  • Coordinate legalization and certified documents
  • Prepare filing cost estimates and portfolio reports

Technical Requirements
