The Northern California offices of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP are seeking an experienced, detail‑oriented Trademark Paralegal for a full‑time position in the Intellectual Property and Technology Group.Responsibilities Assist lawyers with managing large domestic and international trademark portfolios, including policing, disputes and enforcement, TTAB proceedings, copyright, social media matters, and domain name dispute procedures.Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications and maintenance filings, such as statements of use, extensions, renewals, and Madrid Protocol applications.Correspond directly with clients to report deadlines and progress of applications and registrations.Communicate with international counsel, including foreign offices, to file and maintain trademark applications and registrations.Work closely with the docketing department to ensure deadlines are calendared and handled.Conduct, review, and analyze trademark searches in U.S. and international databases such as SAEGIS.Review watch notices, report relevant hits to supervisors, and conduct investigations as needed.Support due diligence for M&A transactions.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience.Minimum 8 years of legal trademark experience, preferably in a law firm.Experience with domestic and international trademark practice and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.Proficiency in managing U.S. and international trademark portfolios, PTO filings, trademark searches, and docketing.Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and computer proficiency with working knowledge of USPTO and WIPO procedures and systems (TEAS, Assignment Branch, TTAB, Madrid Monitor).Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel; experience with Inprotech docketing system preferred.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills, and strong technical and computer capabilities.Ability to interface with clients, exercise discretion, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $140,000, depending on skills and experience.
