The Trades Generalist performs a variety of semi-skilled repair and trades tasks related to facility maintenance, modification services, breaking down, reinstallation of office furnishings, and provides general maintenance and repair of court facilities and equipment, while providing excellent customer service to judicial staff.

Working conditions:
This position requires exposure to outdoor elements related to weather such as high heat temperatures. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and maneuver necessary equipment and tools 30 to 75 pounds. May require travel to facilities throughout Maricopa County. The incumbent is required to work evening, night, or overnight shifts based on the operational needs of the department. In addition, the incumbents work schedule may change unexpectedly to support operational needs, emergencies, or to address unexpected maintenance and facility needs.

Typically, successful candidates are hired at a salary rate up to the midpoint of the range, based on applicable experience, internal equity, and budgetary allowances.

The Judicial Branch of Arizona in Maricopa County participates in the State Retirement systems ASRS or PSPRS. As such, mandatory membership for all full-time employees includes payroll deducted contributions consistent with each retirement system's requirements. The current contribution rate for ASRS is 12.27% and the current contribution rate for PSPRS is 5.84% and up for the defined contribution plan and 8.82% for the defined benefit plan. Judicial Branch facilities are located throughout Maricopa County. This position may be reassigned to other locations. Assignments will be made based upon the needs of the department.
