The City of Greensboro’s Engineering and Inspections Department is seeking a skilled Electrical Trades Inspector to help ensure safe and compliant construction throughout our community. This position plays a critical role in protecting public safety by ensuring electrical installations meet N.C. State Building Codes and City Ordinances. This opportunity allows qualified candidates to be hired at the Trades Inspector I, II, or Senior level depending on education, certifications, and experience.

About the Role
The Electrical Trades Inspector is responsible for inspecting residential, commercial, and industrial electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Standard Level I and Plumbing Standard Level I certifications must be obtained within 2 years of hire in order to remain in the position.
