Class Summary
Job Description
This position will be required to perform work on highly specialized equipment, installing and maintaining pumps, valves and other plant process systems associated with Water Reclamation Facilities. The position will be required to perform use of mechanical skills including but not limited to, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment on highly specialized equipment associated with all levels of the water/wastewater treatment process. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs. Installs, repairs, overhauls, modifies and maintains mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery. Performs required routine preventative maintenance and repair activities.
Essential Duties
Trades Technician II - Grade B21(3) Salary range: $44,968.00 - $71,948.00
Trades Technician III - Grade B23(3) Salary range: $53,286.00 - $85,258.00
Trades Technician IV - Grade B31(3) Salary range: $57,950.00 - $92,719.00

Minimum Qualifications
Trades Technician II
High School Diploma or GED; AND
Two years of related trades experience; OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment
Trades Technician III
High School Diploma or GED; AND
Four years of related trades experience; OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment
Trades Technician IV
High School Diploma or GED; AND
Five years of progressively responsible related trades experience, some of which is in a supervisory capacity; OR
an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) must be obtained within 12 months of employment
Valid Georgia Drivers License
