This is your chance to keep Southwest Florida Water Management District humming along with seamless precision. Using a customer-driven team approach, our General Services Bureau performs the important work behind the scenes that keeps our entire organization operating smoothly as we manage the water supply and protect our water quality. You will have the opportunity to perform daily landscape maintenance tasks, ensuring the upkeep and aesthetic quality of the grounds as well as perform facilities maintenance, repairs, and modifications for District owned buildings and grounds projects at our Tampa Service Office. With this role, you will work under the supervision of the Facilities Manager. Tradesworker 2 $16.14 - $20.31
Tradesworker 3 $17.19 - $21.63
The starting hourly ranges are included for the Maintenance and Trades Technician profile which reflects the minimum to 47% of the respective pay grades. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.
Essential Functions
Working Conditions
Ability to lift and carry a 30 pound pack while walking up to 50% of the shift. May be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. May be exposed to extremely hot, humid weather conditions, mosquitoes, and other pests. May be exposed to elements including sun and rain during an entire work period. Must be able to bend, squat, and climb on a regular basis. Satisfactory completion of a work capacity test may be required every two years. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Employee may be subject to call-in outside of regularly scheduled work hours, or required to be on call, including nights, weekends, or holidays to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.

Additional Details
This position is typically scheduled to work 40 hours per week, (4) four ten hour days, out of the Tampa, FL office. This position is eligible for overtime for hours worked over 40 hours, in a week.
