Nature of Work
The Tradesworker II maintains the licensure/certification required by county or state to perform work in one of the following areas: electrical, HVAC, or plumbing. The Tradesworker II performs skilled work within his/her licensed/certified discipline, as well as performs a wide range of general and semi-skilled activities, in support of preventative maintenance, general maintenance and repairs on City structures, grounds/beaches, systems and equipment. In completing skilled work, the Tradesworker II may be assisted by and may direct the Tradesworker I.

Do you have a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).?

Do you have two (2) years experience as a semi-skilled worker in one or more of the basic building maintenance trades and/or two years experience in a warehouse distribution operation?

Do you have two (2) year of related employment in the facility maintenance?

Do you have a valid certification or valid journeyman rank in one or more of the construction or facilities trades including technician in the field, plumbing (and related fields, i.e. backflow, water control), general mechanical (HVAC, refrigeration), locksmithing, or electrical (technician or apprentice) is required at time of application and must be maintained valid throughout employment period.
