Trading Analysts support trading desks and investment teams by analyzing market data, monitoring trade execution, and assisting with day-to-day trading operations. The role blends quantitative analysis, market awareness, and real-time decision support in fast-paced trading environments.
These roles often involve close collaboration with traders, portfolio managers, quantitative researchers, and risk management teams.
Monitor real-time market data, pricing movements, and trading activity
Support trade execution and ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely settlement
Analyze trading performance, execution quality, and transaction costs
Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and models for trading insights
Conduct market, asset-class, and liquidity analysis
Assist with position monitoring, P&L tracking, and risk exposure reporting
Identify inefficiencies, anomalies, and opportunities in market behavior
Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc trading reports for senior traders and management
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and trading mechanics
Experience or coursework in trading, market microstructure, or quantitative analysis (preferred but not required)
Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or VBA is a plus
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
Clear written and verbal communication skills
