Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Trading Floor Support Analyst to provide real-time technical support and rapid issue resolution for trading systems, applications, hardware, and market data technologies used by front-office personnel on the trading floor. The ideal candidate will have strong experience supporting trading environments, financial systems, market data applications, and high-pressure production environments, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and minimize business disruption.
Responsibilities
Provide real-time technical support to traders, sales, and other front-office personnel.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving trading platforms, financial applications, market data feeds, hardware, and network connectivity.
Monitor the health, availability, and performance of trading systems and escalate incidents appropriately.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application, connectivity, and workstation issues.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, networking, and other technology teams to resolve complex technical problems.
Support market data applications and technologies used by trading teams.
Perform incident management and provide timely communication during critical issues.
Identify recurring problems and contribute to root-cause analysis and permanent resolutions.
Document technical issues, resolutions, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge bases and support documentation.
Help ensure minimal downtime and maintain compliance with operational, security, and regulatory standards.
Work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, time-sensitive trading floor environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
10+ years of experience in technical support, application support, infrastructure support, or trading floor support.
Experience supporting trading platforms, financial systems, or front-office technology environments.
Strong knowledge of market data applications such as Bloomberg, Reuters/Refinitiv, or ICE.
Experience troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments.
Familiarity with scripting and basic networking concepts.
Strong understanding of hardware, applications, connectivity, and desktop/trading workstation troubleshooting.
Experience working with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to resolve production issues.
Strong incident management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
Ability to prioritize and resolve issues quickly in a high-pressure, time-sensitive trading environment.
Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to interact directly with traders and senior front-office personnel.
Preferred Experience
Previous experience supporting an investment bank, broker-dealer, hedge fund, asset manager, or other capital markets environment.
Experience with electronic trading platforms and market data infrastructure.
Exposure to production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and change management processes.
Experience supporting technology in a trading floor or other mission-critical environment.
