OVERVIEW
Working as Full-time Traffic Assistant Manager you will assist in managing the Traffic department. You will motivate and provide leadership to team members to ensure day-to-day operations are completed safely, accurately, efficiently, and on time. RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Motivating and leading team members
- Coordinating employees including scheduling, hiring, and exiting
- Ensuring day-to-day operations are completed
- Monitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic department
- Communicating internally and externally by phone and email
- Maintaining files, documents, paperwork, and data entry
- Managing budgets and performance metrics
- Complying with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
- Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives
- Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental, health, and safety trainings
- Operate a Fastenal vehicle and run truck routes (Non-CDL and/or CDL as needed)
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:
- Possess a current, full, valid drivers license issued in the country where the job is located, including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province, as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle as needed
- Possess relevant work experience
- Proficient written and oral communication skills
- Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
- Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
- Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities
- Highly motivated, self-directed, and customer service oriented
- Demonstrate a strong aptitude and passion for leadership, employee development, operations management, and logistics management
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
- Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
- Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25 lbs - 50 lbs and may weigh up to 100 lbs
- Pass the required drug screen applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY
PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Drivers License
- Prior experience operating a forklift
- Possess prior leadership or management work experience

FULL-TIME BENEFITS

COMPENSATION
The base pay range for this position is 65,000 - 85,000. In addition to base pay this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
