Traffic Control Plan Drafter
Location: Remote
Compensation: $23-$30/hr
Position Summary
Seeking a
Traffic Control Plan (TCP) Drafter to support fiber optic and telecommunications infrastructure projects. This role will create traffic control plans and maps for city, county, and state roadway projects while supporting permitting, right-of-way, and utility construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare traffic control plans using AutoCAD
- Design lane closures and temporary traffic control setups
- Support fiber network and utility infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with project teams, municipalities, and permitting agencies
- Draft field notes onto base maps and survey documents
- Ensure plans meet jurisdictional requirements and quality standards
Qualifications
- 2+ years of Traffic Control Plan drafting experience for telecom or utility projects
- 2+ years of AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge of right-of-way, easements, and permitting requirements
- Familiarity with temporary traffic control practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RapidPlan
- Experience with ArcGIS or QGIS
- Telecommunications or fiber infrastructure experience
