This position offers variable schedules based on customer demand, weather, and construction projects. Both seasonal and year-round opportunities are available.

What You'll Do
As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will help keep motorists, pedestrians, construction crews, and utility workers safe by controlling traffic through active work zones.
Your responsibilities include:
- Safely direct traffic through construction and utility work zones.
- Follow all company safety procedures and Vermont traffic control regulations.
- Remain alert to changing traffic patterns and identify potential safety hazards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with co-workers, customers, and the public.
- Respond calmly and quickly in changing or emergency situations.
- Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and on time.
- Represent Green Mountain Flagging with professionalism and excellent customer service.
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions throughout the year.
Qualifications
We're looking for dependable people who are committed to safety.
Requirements include:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Reliable transportation to and from work. (Transportation is not provided.)
- Ability to travel to designated meeting locations or job sites.
- Availability for at least three full weekdays each week.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Vermont Work Zone Certification (paid for by GMF).
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for at least eight hours.
- Ability to lift and carry at least 35 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
