Our Traffic Services Division is seeking flaggers to help maintain the safety of construction sites and the motoring public.
Reportsto: Field Supervisor
Responsibilities:- Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones, including warning signs, traffic cones, and rumble strips according to DOT regulations.
- Tow and staff arrow boards and attenuator trucks.
- Through effective flagging and navigating the worksite, maintain personal safety, the safety of clients, co-workers and the general public.
- Follow training and uphold safety protocols.
- Aware and vigilant of surroundings to spot safety hazards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, co-workers and general public.
- Fill out and submit required paperwork/documentation.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; must have at least two years of driving experience.
- Must be able to work under pressure and react to potential danger in an urgent manner.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in all weather conditions and tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, and rain.
- Able to stand throughout your entire shift, hand and arm movement is required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Be physically capable to perform all flagging duties.
- This position does not allow for frequent breaks.
Compensation:- $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
