-Perform and review traffic engineering analysis including traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies and reviewing traffic engineering plans -Assist with preparing for highway construction projects including field investigations, engineering studies, reviewing roadway development plans, reviewing sign and pavement marking plans, conducting traffic impact analyses, cost estimates and more -Work with SHA including different divisions, engineering design consultants and other state and county agencies -Assist with project development for various traffic safety and operational programs -Respond to traffic related concerns
Required Skills & Experience: -Bachelor's Degree in Engineering -EIT is strongly preferred with ability to obtain a PE -Experience with traffic engineering analysis software such as Synchro/SimTraffic Highway Capacity Software and Vissim -Strong knowledge on MUTCD and other traffic engineering safety policies and guidelines -Ability to handle multiples tasks at once -Strong communication skills
