Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a **Traffic or Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Engineer** to be based in **Minneapolis, Minnesota.** The ideal candidate will have experience in traffic engineering, ITS, and emerging transportation technology with leadership skills to support our Traffic/ITS team in Minnesota. The successful candidate will need to be a forward-looking team player who can work collaboratively with others, in a dynamic setting to support external client engagement, project management, business development, and internal leadership. **Job Responsibilities** + Conduct technical work in the field of traffic engineering, ITS, and emerging technology + Lead or support a team of professionals to deliver traffic, ITS or emerging technology projects + Support growth of traffic and ITS practice in Minnesota + Provide program support functions for large engineering programs across the Midwest + Collaborate pursuits of both traditional government RFPs as well as unsolicited proposals related to traffic, ITS, and new technologies in transportation **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + BA/BS and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education + Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Minnesota or ability to obtain license within 6 months **Preferred Qualifications** + 8+ years of ITS and traffic engineering experience + Experience with MnDOT, MN municipalities, or other state DOT’s projects + Experience in traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design. + Experience using Traffic Analysis and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms. + Experience in ITS and TSMO planning, systems engineering, ITS design, connected and automated vehicle technology, and smart mobility solutions + Experience in developing plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation + Experience in proposal development + Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills **Additional Information** At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously. **_To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment._** Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
