Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, program, inspect, and maintain traffic signals, controllers, pedestrian signals, and related equipment.

• Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic malfunctions in traffic control devices.

• Perform preventative maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacement.

• Respond to service calls for malfunctioning signals and make timely repairs to restore safe traffic flow.

• Assist with system upgrades, wiring, and software programming of traffic control systems.

• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, inventory used, and inspections completed.

• Ensure compliance with MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices), OSHA standards, and local safety policies.

• Support traffic operations during emergencies, special events, or severe weather.
