What You’ll Do

As a Trailer Jockey, you’ll keep materials and equipment moving safely and efficiently across the facility:

  • Move trailers and manage material flow between warehouse and production areas
  • Ensure seamless logistics operations across the plant
  • Maintain accurate records of trailers, including part numbers, quantities, and lot details
  • Perform daily truck inspections and report any issues before operation
  • Ensure trucks are fueled and ready for use
  • Accurately complete and manage required paperwork
  • Assist with material handling tasks as needed

️ Equipment & Operations

  • Operate a day cab truck and yard spotter (Class A CDL required)
  • Read and interpret Bills of Lading (BOL) for inbound and outbound shipments
  • Safely operate a sit-down electric forklift (certification provided on Day 1)
  • Learn and operate various warehouse equipment including:
    • Hand jacks, drum dollies, clamp trucks
    • Scissor lifts, powered hoists, floor scrubbers
    • Safety cage setups

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read pick lists and use electronic inventory systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions from multiple team members
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with discretion
