A leading transportation and logistics company in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic<\/b> to join their maintenance team. This role is ideal for a technician with strong diagnostic skills and hands -on experience repairing and maintaining dry vans, reefers, beverage, side -load and flatbed trailers.

Responsibilities:<\/b>
<\/div>

  • Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on trailers and related components
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Repair and replace brakes, suspensions, axles, landing gear, air systems, electrical wiring, and lighting
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with DOT and company standards
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Troubleshoot ABS systems, air lines, and structural damage
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Weld and fabricate MIG, TIG, and Stick
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Complete work orders accurately and maintain detailed service documentation
    <\/p><\/li>

  • Ensure safety compliance and maintain a clean, organized work environment
    <\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications:<\/b>
    <\/div>
    • Proven experience as a Trailer Mechanic in the transportation or construction industry.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Experience with diagnostic tools and equipment.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • 2+ years of experience working as a trailer mechanic.
      <\/span><\/li>

    • Strong understanding of air brake systems, electrical systems, and trailer components.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Ability to diagnose issues independently and work efficiently.
      <\/p><\/li>

    • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Strong problem -solving skills and attention to detail.
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Excellent communication skills.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.<\/span>
      <\/li>
    • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
      <\/span><\/li><\/ul>

      Compensation & Benefits:<\/b>

      • Competitive wages based on experience: $25 - $35/hr.
        <\/span><\/li>

        Shift:<\/b>

        Days, shift 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Friday). Should be flexible to work the occasional Saturday between 7AM - 12 noon.
