Excellent 1st shift opportunity in Winnebago County for an experienced trailer mechanic. This direct hire opportunity will offer you room for growth and advancement, while working in a great team environment.
Position - Trailer Mechanic
Starting Date - Immediate
Employment Term - Direct hire
Employment Type - Full-Time
Work Hours (Shift) - 1st shift (6:00AM- 2:30PM)
Starting Pay - dependent on experience, $18-$25 per hour

Required Education - High School Diploma/GED
Required Experience - At least 2 years of experience
As a trailer mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs, as well as completing preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Performing DOT inspections on trailers
- Utilizing tools including calipers, pressure gauges, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, brakes, welding and wood working
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a trailer mechanic or relevant industry experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Good mechanical aptitude is a must!
