Trailer Mechanic

Due to our exciting growth, we are looking to add another mechanic to our Big Blue Box family!KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAs a member of Big Blue Boxes family, the individual in this role will be responsible for maintaining our fleet.Mechanic Responsibilities:Maintain, diagnose, and repair fleet vehicles and equipment. Coordinate vehicle maintenance, repairs, pick-up, and delivery in close communication with safety department and/or department supervisors. Perform necessary repairs/inspections to ensure safety and efficiency of operations.Perform maintenance such as oil changes, tire work, electrical, welding and DOT inspections.Ability to understand shop manuals and schematics for vehicle maintenance.Perform container repairs.Work effectively within a team.Other duties as assigned.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONSMechanic Education:High school or equivalent.DOT certification a plus.Class A license a plus.Mechanic Experience:Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role or capacity.Must have your own base set of tools.Mechanic Skills/Abilities:Ability to perform physical tasks associated with this position.Ability to work independently and take initiative, anticipating and resolving problems.Professional demeanor and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.Ability to adapt with changing priorities.
