Trailer Mechanic (Trainee)

American Transportation Services has immediate openings for entry level trailer mechanic. Interested candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Selected candidates will receive daily training on maintaining and repairing large dry van trailers, allowing you to develop a skill that is in very high demand across the nation. Successful employees will receive quarterly reviews with incremental rate increases based on personal development. Entry level qualifications: Must be over 18 years of age, ability to work a full-time shift.

Requirements:

• Training will Include but not limited to:
• Completing FAI and State required inspections.
• Inspect and repair “S” cam air brake systems.
• Diagnose and repair anti-lock brake systems.
• Performing a variety of repairs to commercial trailers in all potential aspects.
• Training on the latest diagnostic and maintenance invoicing software.
• Must be able to pass a background check
