Primary Purpose

The Trailer Technician transports restroom and shower trailers to customer locations. This position ensures water drainage and electrical are operation at the time of installation. Trailer Technicians perform any maintenance and janitorial needs for the trailer throughout the duration of the rental before transporting back to a United Site Services USS branch at the end of the rental.

Essential Functions

• Conduct daily pre-shift & post-shift vehicle inspection & report deficiencies to the shop immediately. Also, report improper operation, faulty equipment, and unusual conditions to the MechanicOperations Supervisor.
• Operate delivery truck to and from pre-designated work sites based on daily routing information.
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with the Hub Manager or Office Administrator to receive additional instructions, changes to work locations, etc.
• Deliver comfort stations to or pick up from event locations, completing set up and breakdown of all equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues that may arise during delivery, servicing, or pick-up of comfort stations, which may include basic electrical, plumbing, and/or HVAC.
• Restock paper products, hand sanitizer, soap, etc. in units being serviced and repaired.
• Clean interior and exterior of units.
• Maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of commercial driving experience.
• Valid Driver License CDL with a class A endorsement.
• Valid forklift certification required.
• Excellent time management, customer service, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

• Sit while driving and stand while servicing products.
• Use hands and fingers to handle control or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Repeat the same movements.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away and also at greater distance.
• Speak clearly so customers can understand.
• Understand the speech of another person.
• Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
• Walk up to 30 minutes at a time without exertion.
• Enter and exit equipment by stepping and kneeling.
• Lift up to 40lbs from your waist to your shoulders.
• Lift 30lbs from the floor to your head.
• Crouch and squat.
• Push 100lbs and pull 100lbs horizontally.

Salary Range

$20.52 - $28.73 per hour (Pay Transparency Statement)
