Our Calhoun, GA location is part of our Meat division and uses unique proprietary technology developed by Kerry to create breading and coating blends for our customers and products. We're excited to install two additional lines in 2020, contributing to the growth of our business and future!





Shift Information 1st Shift, 800AM - 430PM


Position on 1st shift but must be willing to do training on all shifts when needed








What you'll do



As a Trainer, you’ll train and monitor new operators across all shifts on operational and safety procedures, ensuring they’re qualified and following standard work. You’ll track training completion, update SOPs/checklists, coordinate orientation and compliance with Safety/HR, and continuously improve the training process with supervisors.





Important areas of operations you’ll work on (but are not limited to)






+ Onboarding & orientation (partnering with Safety and HR for required compliance training)


+ Safety procedures and safe work practices (PPE, housekeeping standards, rule compliance)


+ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Standard Work Checklists (maintaining, updating, and training to changes)


+ Training program execution (tracking, scheduling, and ensuring timely completion across all shifts)


+ Operator qualification & verification (SOP tests, preventing unqualified operators)


+ Process and Procedure changes (rolling out updates and verifying understanding on the floor)


+ Continuous improvement (supporting safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals through CI activities)


+ Operational observation/coaching (observing performance, providing feedback, reinforcing standard work)


+ Systems & documentation (data entry/reporting in business systems; maintaining training records)


+ Material handling / forklift operations (as needed, ensuring safe and efficient operation)






What you'll need to be successful




+ High school diploma or GED


+ Manufacturing experience preferred


+ Training tracking & documentation


+ SOP/standard work maintenance; support qualification testing


+ Basic computer skills (data entry/reporting)


+ Clear written/verbal communication


+ Basic math and problem-solving


+ Organized; able to use basic office equipment


+ Forklift capable


+ Safety- and attendance-reliable


+ Able to lift up to 55 lbs (occasional)






Compensation Data



The pay range for this position is $22 - $40 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
