Are you a highly efficient, poised, and service-oriented professional? Boston University's Office of the President is looking for a dedicated individual to support the operations of Sloane House, the University President's residence, and assist with presidential events and hospitality. This is a unique opportunity to work in a prestigious and dynamic environment, ensuring exceptional guest experiences for visiting dignitaries, trustees, donors, faculty, students, and other distinguished guests.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for presidential and University-hosted events, meetings, dinners, and receptions.
  • Lead communications with invitees, guests of honor, performers, and speakers.
  • Serve as an onsite event support lead, ensuring seamless guest experience and service execution.
  • Manage setup, breakdown, and event-day operations.
  • Support visiting guests and VIPs with hospitality arrangements, including hotel bookings and transportation.
  • Collaborate with the Administrative Coordinator to prepare briefing materials and support logistical coordination.
  • Maintain professionalism and discretion in a confidential executive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in hospitality management, executive support, event management, or related fields.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt within a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to support events outside typical business hours.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and event coordination tools.
