Trainer Job DescriptionAs a Trainer for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA), you will be responsible for providing a crucial role in serving our agricultural producers by providing reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information that farmers, ranchers, and rural communities depend on. You will provide technical and data collection support for enumerators tasked with collecting data on behalf of the National Agriculture Statistics Service (NASS). We strive to create a positive work environment that our employees can be proud of and where they can build their careers.ABOUT THE POSITIONThe Trainer reports to the Associate Director and has no direct reports.The essential functions include but are not limited to:Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for enumerators' IT equipment (iPads) and software systems and platforms including iSolved, iHire, CAPI, and MicrosoftWork as a team member in developing training in relevant areasCollaborate with the leadership team to provide advice, guidance, and counsel to all enumeratorsProvide classroom, phone, and computer-based training as neededCollaborate with the Associate Director to identify training needs and develop strategies to address themEnforces security regulations to protect statistical data collected; ensures proper maintenance, preservation, and disposal of all official statistical recordsQUALIFICATIONSAble to pass a federal background checkA high school diploma and minimum 3 years' experience providing training and/or technical support to employees are requiredSome knowledge of agriculture and agricultural issues is desiredProficient in using equipment such as iPads and cloud-based data collection and communication systemsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TeamsKnowledge of effective training methods and techniques sufficient to oversee and monitor instructional programsExceptional critical thinking skillsAbility to exercise sound judgment and resolve problemsExceptional verbal and written communication skillsStrong presentations skillsDemonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented work environmentSALARY RANGE- Starting at $28.20 an hour.WORK SCHEDULEThis is a Part-time, non-exempt position working approximately 20-30 hours per week not to exceed 375 hours per quarter.Position is considered remote, but candidates must reside in CT, DE, DC, IN, ME, MD, MA, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VT, VA, or WV.Benefits: Performance bonuses Career developmentFlexibility Ability to work remotelyWe understand your time is valuable, so we have a rapid and easy application process.
