    Description

    Overview United Rentals is the world's largest equipment rental company and is looking for a United Academy Safety Trainer to deliver safety training to customers and internal employees.Responsibilities Develop and conduct customized safety training solutions for key customers.Schedule, conduct, and monitor safety training programs on customer sites.Provide expertise on safety training requirements and deliver train‑the‑trainer sessions for various equipment, including Combo Forklift, Backhoe, Skid Steer, Excavator, Counterbalanced Forklift, Loader, Dozer, Boom Lift, Scissor Lift, Fall Protection, and other systems.Assist in evaluating United Rentals employees for safety courses and support internal training.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations to propose and negotiate training packages and pricing.Requirements Bachelor's degree or a combined college and work‑experience equivalency.Minimum 2 years of experience conducting safety training for equipment operators.Experience with train‑the‑trainer programs and formal safety education (preferred).Knowledge of federal, state, and provincial occupational safety regulations such as OSHA, FAA, MSHA, EPA, and non‑regulatory safety codes including ANSI, NFPA, NEC.Strong verbal and written communication; team player; ability to manage shifting priorities.Sales skills and ability to sell the value of training to internal sales force and customers.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred.Valid driver's license; willingness to travel approximately 70% and lift over 20 lbs when required.Benefits United Rentals offers health and financial plans, paid parental leave, an employee discount program, career development opportunities, paid sick leave, and other benefits.
