Job Description:

This position may require up to 100% travel throughout the WFD region, including Ocala, Tampa, North Pinellas, Davenport, Sebring, Port Charlotte, and Winter Haven. Frequent overnight travel may also be required.

  • Regularly assesses training needs through on-site visits, job and process analyses, surveys, and audits.
  • Identifies skills or knowledge gaps and collaboratively devises and deploys appropriate training strategies to resolve these gaps.
  • Communicates potential barriers, risks, or delays related to training and the overall learning plan, including challenges related to logistics, change management, and user skill sets.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of training programs periodically to recommend and implement ongoing improvements.
  • Facilitates communications to team members with updates and changes in functionality and workflow.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development activities to maintain and enhance job-related knowledge, skills, and competencies.
  • Collaborates with others to deliver effective training to all levels of team members.
  • Deploys a variety of training methods, using creative tools and techniques to achieve excellent comprehension and performance results.
  • Delivers individual, small group, and large group training for new and existing users, including physicians, advanced practice providers, clinical support staff, front office staff, and managerial staff.
  • Coordinates training programs and ensures proper training is assigned to team members before EHR access is granted.
  • Tailors training delivery based on the specific style of adult learners to achieve desired comprehension and proficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Possesses extensive knowledge of adult learning styles and training delivery in support of physician practice operations including adoption of practice management and EHR systems [Required]
  • Possesses knowledge of how to identify education and training needs in a healthcare setting and participate in related program development and instruction [Required]
  • Possesses extensive experiencing implementing and coordinating traditional and modern training methods and techniques [Required]
  • Possesses working knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation [Required]
  • Demonstrates ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate within an ambulatory healthcare environment [Required]
  • Demonstrates ability to develop/make effective presentations and serve as a trainer [Required]
  • Demonstrates prominent participation in practice management and EHR implementation and/or ongoing support and training programs [Required]
  • Displays knowledge and skills necessary to deliver quality educational instruction to all levels of staff (including external agencies in a clear and concise manner [Required]
  • Possesses ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing with all levels of employees, facilitate group processes and change [Required]
  • Demonstrates ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills [Required]
  • Possesses strong conflict resolution and customer relation skills [Required]
  • Excels at prioritization and coordination of multiple projects [Required]
  • Communicates strong understanding of applicable policies and procedures [Required]
  • Possesses knowledge in healthcare operations, information technology, revenue cycle, physician practice operations, clinical operations, nursing workflow, physician workflow, and medical information management [Required]
  • Demonstrates understanding of revenue cycle and compliance practices [Required]
  • Experienced in application of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Microsoft Word and PowerPoint skills, strong Microsoft Excel skills, and familiarity with Microsoft Teams [Required]
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable form of transportation. [Required]
  • EHR implementation and training experience, including but not limited to athenaCollector, athenaClinicals, Cerner PowerChart Ambulatory EHR, and NextGen, particularly in specialty care environments [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of quality reporting and physician practice regulatory programs (e.g., PQRS, MACRA, HEDIS, MIPS [Preferred]
  • Expertise in process mapping and process mapping tools, including Microsoft Visio [Preferred]
  • Project management experience [Preferred]

Education:

  • Bachelor's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

  • Experience in adult learner education/teaching experience [Preferred]
