Summary:

The Training Clinical Nurse develops and delivers training on clinical procedures, biosurety, and research protocols to ensure compliance with safety, ethical, and scientific standards in medical research environments.Provides clinical training and education to research staff on protocols, biosafety, clinical care, and subject interaction within high-containment environments. 

 

Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Develop training materials for protocol implementation and safety. 
  • Conduct hands-on training for new staff and refreshers. 
  • Evaluate and document training outcomes. 
  • Coordinate with QA and compliance teams for readiness. 
  • Support continuous education efforts and credentialing. 
  • Monitors the effectiveness of training on class participants using individual or group performance results.  
  • Delivers specialized training and workshops to class participants which may include military members, civilians, and public health professionals.  
  • Develops or assists in the development of new training program design and provides enhancements to existing program lesson plans and training aids.  
  • Collects feedback on sessions from attendees and to supplement improvements to future content and presentations.  
  • Work requires the ability to work independently and in a team. May assume a team lead role on assigned projects.  
Qualifications:

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with clinical research and biosurety environments. 
  • Public speaking and instructional design skills. 
  • Attention to detail and compliance tracking. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, regulatory science, or life sciences. 
  • Minimum6+ years in clinical nursing and training roles. 
  • RN license; CPR/BLS certification required. 
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with BSN. 
  • Clinical experience in preventive medicine/public health and infectious disease. 
  • Clinical education and protocol training experience. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required. 
  • Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ACTIVE SECRET is preferred 
  • MSN or formal training credential preferred

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 annually.
